Q: How do I get a Video Montage?
A: To get your Video Montage, read through the "So, How Does it Work" section, submit your photos, music selection and other requests, make your payment and we will start your Montage!

Q: How long does it take to have a Montage created?
A: This will depend on the length/complexity of your montage and the number of projects we are currently working on. However, it is reasonable to expect that you can actually recieve your Montage within approximately ten days. You will be notified if there is likely to be a delay but you may request Expedited Service for a fee of $50. Please contact us for details.

Q: How do I get my files to you?
A: The preferred method is for you to upload them to us using the upload form. If you prefer, you can send them via regular mail.

Q: How do I go about organising my photos?
A: We suggest that once you have located all the photos you wish to use, you organize them into either sets or chronological order, depending on the sort of montage you wish to have created. Look over them in order to determine whether it tells the story you wish to share in a logical sequence. If you have some idea of the music/song you wish to use, you may find it helpful to have it playing in the background as you look through them.

Q: What is a 'burned CD"
A: A "burned CD" is a CD that has been copied, more than likely on a PC, from a commercially available CD. Doing this raises all sorts of copyright problems and so RDM cannot use a burned CD for your Montage soundtrack.

Q: What are all the different format types - .jpg .txt. .doc .zip etc...?
A: When you save a file on your computer, they are saved in different formats, depending on the program or application that was used to create them. Pictures are generally in .jpg .jpeg .bmp .gif formats. Text files - .txt .doc There are lots of other fomats too, depending on the application that created them. Files that have been 'compressed' to save file transfer time and disk space are generally .zip or .rar files.

Q: What is a "voiceover"?
A: A voiceover is an audio clip that you can create that we can add to your Montage. If there is a personal message you wish to include using your own voice, this is a great way to do it. When you have recorded your clip, we will add it over the soundtrack so that it blends seemlessly with the rest of your Montage.

Q: What is a 're-draft' fee?
A: A 're-draft' fee is only applicable if, once we have completed your Montage, you decide that you would like to have major changes made. Small changes are expected and do not incur a charge at all. If it involves re-ordering several photos and changing soundtracks for example, most of the Montage will likely have to be re-edited since we ensure that all transitions are linked exactly in time with the music. You will be notified of any re-draft fee in the unlikely event that it should be necessary and will be directly related to the amount of changes that are required.

Q: What information should I provide to help create my montage?
A: Information that will help us to understand the type of Montage you want is extremely useful. Each Montage is customized specifically for each customer and every customer's needs are different. It may be useful to remember that unless you tell us the things you want, we may interpret what you have given us differently from what you are expecting. We appreciate as much information as you wish to give us in order to help us create the exact Montage you want.

Q: What filetypes can I send using the upload form?

A: You may send the following filetypes using the Video Montage upload form: .jpg .jpeg .tif .gif .bmp .txt .doc .avi .wav .mp3 .mpg .mpeg .wmv .zip

Q: Do I have to send my photos to RDM via the mail?
A: You may send your photos to us in the mail, though the preferred method is for you to upload them to us via the upload form. If you send your photos to us, we will take every care of them and they won't be damaged or altered in any way. However, we cannot be responsible for damage or loss that occurs by the use of regular mail.

Q: Can I upload my photographs from the site?
A: Yes, by using the upload form.

Q: What format do my photographs have to be in to send them via the form?
A: You may send the following filetypes using the Photo Restoration upload form: .zip .jpg .jpeg .tif .gif .bmp .txt

Q: How long does it take to receive my restored pictures?
A: This will depend on how many you are having restored and the complexity of the restoration. Turn-around time can be anything from 2 days to a week.
